Peggy Williams, co-founder of Abundantly More, has been happily married to Bryan for 29 years. They have four children, two of whom are married, and two precious grandchildren. After a 20-year break, they reopened their home to children in foster care in 2019. At the time, they were both unaware of how much this would change their hearts and lives.
Peggy’s vision for Abundantly More came after seeing and hearing countless stories of children who came into care with nothing but the clothes on their backs. She recognized the heartache that children experience as they are forced to leave everything behind. She wanted to provide new pajamas for the first night in a new house, a stuffed animal and fuzzy blanket for comfort, hygiene products, a new backpack, and a water bottle for the first day at a new school. By providing these items for foster families, it allows them to focus on the emotional needs of the children who have come from such hard places.
As Peggy began praying about this ministry, she did not know that Sharon was also praying about it! So, obviously, Sharon said yes when Peggy approached her.
Sharon Poole is the co-founder of Abundantly More. She and her husband, Eric, have been married for 36 years and have seven children and eleven grandchildren. A former foster mom, Sharon has adopted two children out of foster care. She has served as a GAL (Guardian Ad Litem) and as the president of the Charleston County Foster Parents Association. Additionally, she volunteered with Lowcountry Orphan Relief for six years and organized Christmas sponsors for over 100 foster children in the community for over 25 years.
Through her extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Sharon continues to transform the lives of foster children, embodying the true spirit of compassion and community service. When Peggy approached her with the idea of starting Abundantly More, she knew it was God's calling and there was no way she could say no!
